Hotel Garden - Siena

Located outside the city walls, to the north of Siena, the Hotel Garden provides the perfect tranquil base to return to after a day in the city. Surrounded by an oak park, the ancient and prestigious Villa of 1700 is appreciated as one of the most refined and elegant historical dwellings of the city.

Meeting and ceremonies can be arranged in the modern Salone delle feste, opened in 2003. On request 7 separated rooms can be arranged for 30 up to 250 people. The panoramic portico of the Salone delle Feste is ideal for cocktails, buffets and concerts.

The most important building in Siena, which faces onto the Piazza del Campo, is the Palazzo Pubblico, Municipal Seat. On its left side, the Torre del Mangia, symbol of the municipal authority, was abutted around 1340. The Palazzo Pubblico hosts the Civic Museum, which boasts precious frescoes and paintings on wood by famous artists from 1300 to 1500. The Basilica of S.Domenico, started in 1226, is an imposing and severe construction in Gothic-Cistercense style. It is dominated by an elegant bell tower. The Egyptian cross, single-nave interior is rich with paintings about the life of Saint Caterina. The hotel is happy to provide guests with more information on local attractions.

By Plane: Rome Fiumicino: 230km. Pisa: 150km. Florence Peretola: 70 km. By Train: From the south take the Rome Line Chiusi-Chianciano Terme to Siena. From the north take the Florence to Siena line or the Pisa to Florence line. From Siena train station, take the bus number 9 or 10, get off at Palazzo dei Diavoli. By Bus: From Florence Central Station (S.M.N.), take the route Rapida Siena-Florence-Siena, which leaves every hour from 07:00 to 19:00 and arrives at the bus stop in Siena, Palazzo dei Diavoli. By Car: From the North: -From the A1, exit at Firenze Certosa. -After the toll booth, take Siena to Florence main road and exit at Siena Nord. -Follow directions to the town centre (-> Porta Camollia). -The Garden Hotel is located after the 2nd traffic lights on the right-hand side. From the South: -From the A1, exit at Val di Chiana – Bettolle. -Follow directions for Siena until its suburbs. -Take the main road in the direction of Florence and follow the directions as above.
