Bellevue Syrene - Sorrento

Occupying a superb and peaceful position, on a promontory in the most picturesque corner of old Sorrento, the hotel boasts views over the Gulf of Naples on the Mediterranean Coast. Just a few steps away from the city centre, this former 18th-century villa has recently completed a major renovation, which preserves the antique style and historic recognition of the property. An enchanting atmosphere prevails in all area of the hotel, from the beautiful terraces with breathtaking views, to the delightfully appointed internal salons and lounges, featuring antique pieces combined with design furniture. The Bellevue Syrene is located in Piazza della Vittoria, few minutes walking from the main square of Sorrento, Piazza Tasso, where restaurants and shopping are. The train Station Circumvesuviana, the main bus station and the harbour are at 10 minutes walking distance.

Between the monuments and the antique villas you can find: the Basilica di S. Antonino, which dates back to the 9th-century; the Cloister of San Francesco, which was built at the beginning of the 19th-century; the wonderful remains of the Villa Pollio Felice; and the Bagni della Regina Giovanna. Of much interest is the valuable collection of paintings of the 17th and 18th-centuries and the examples of antique ceramics and inlaid woodwork, typical of this area, housed at the Museo Correale di Terranova.

You can reach Sorrento: By train the national trains arrive at the upper level of Naples Central Station. From the lowest level, you can catch the local train "Circumvesuviana" to Sorrento, the last stop. Departure each 20/30 minutes and journey takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. Private transfer to the Hotel is provided, on request. By car from Milano-Roma: take the A1 motorway towards Naples; take connection to A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway;leave the motorway at the Castellammare di Stabia exit. As soon as you are out of the motorway, take the directions to Penisola Sorrentina. Along the road you drive through 3 tunnels. After the third one, keep driving for 12 kilometres. In Sorrento, follow the sign to Piazza Tasso, then you'll find the sign to the Bellevue Syrene. By car from Naples: from the Airport of Capodichino or the Central Train Station in Naples, follow the direction to “Tangenziale/Autostrade”. Then take the A3 A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway; leave the motorway at the Castellammare di Stabia exit. As soon as you are out of the motorway, take the directions to Penisola Sorrentina. Then follow the instructions as mentioned above. - bus: there is a bus of "Curreri" company leaving from the Naples Airport to the main square of Sorrento - hydrofoil: hydrofoils and ferries to Sorrento leave from the Beverello harbour in Naples. The cuisine at the Bellevue Syrene offers a rich selection of dishes, with the accent on preparation to the finest local culinary tradition. The Il Don Giovanni Restaurant, with its spacious interior and full length windows above the bay, or the intimate Gli Archi Restaurant are open during the winter months. During warmer months you can enjoy light fare or dining al fresco at the open-air La Pergola, which in the evenings becomes a romantic piano bar. In addition to this,within the shade of hundred year-old pine trees, on a lovely terrace, you will find the Il Pino Restaurant.
